التفسير التبليغي
(Do they then seek the judgment of [the time of] ignorance? And who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]?)
Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are the disbelievers... the wrongdoers... the defiantly disobedient.
(Do they then seek the judgment of [the time of] ignorance?) They seek the judgment of the *Jahiliyyah* (pre-Islamic ignorance), and none seeks the judgment of the *Jahiliyyah* except one who desires to deviate from the straight path.
Allah the Almighty has attributed matters to *Jahiliyyah* to warn against them and to show their ugliness: (They thought about Allah other than the truth, the thought of ignorance) ... (Do they then seek the judgment of [the time of] ignorance?) ... (And do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance) ... (When those who disbelieved put into their hearts fury – the fury of the time of ignorance).
Allah, the Exalted, warned His Prophet against temptation in religion. So, if the most pious of humanity was warned against temptation in religion, then [how much more should others be warned]?
People of certainty benefit from it more than others.
