So their outcome was that they would both be in the Fire, abiding therein. And that is the recompense of the wrongdoers. (17)
﴿فَكانَ عاقِبَتهما﴾ meaning, the tempter and the one tempted ﴿أنَّهُما فِي النّار خالِدَيْنِ فِيها وذَلِكَ جَزاء الظّالِمِينَ﴾.
﴿فَكانَ عاقِبَتهما أنَّهُما﴾ meaning, the deceiver and the deceived ﴿فِي النّارِ﴾.
﴿فَكَانَ عَاقِبَتَهُمَا﴾ meaning, the caller, who is Satan, and the one called, who is man when he obeyed him ﴿أَنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ خَالِدَيْنِ فِيهَا﴾.
