He made clear to His servants that all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth belongs to Him, so that they may ask Him and worship Him, and not worship anyone other than Him.
(وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ) meaning: all of it is His possession and His servants.
(وَإِلَى اللَّهِ) to Allah, with whom no one else has any authority, (تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ) meaning: all matters, which are in them (the heavens and the earth).
To Allah is the ultimate return of the affairs of all His creation, the righteous among them and the corrupt, the good-doer and the evil-doer.
He is independent of all things, capable of all things, knowing of all things.
