(And He found you in need, and made you self-sufficient?) (8)
(And He found you in need, and made you self-sufficient?) – self-sufficiency of the soul and the granting of spoils of war.
This needy, dependent one, Allah made him self-sufficient.
(And He found you in need, and made you self-sufficient?) – a glad tiding that Allah will replace hardship with ease and poverty with wealth.
He enriched his heart with guidance and faith, and He enriched him with wealth, as he (the Prophet) said: "My sustenance was placed under the shadow of my spear."
(And He found you in need, and made you self-sufficient?) meaning, with the wealth of Khadijah.
Women competed with men in effort and spending.
Women shared with men in worship, sacrifice, effort, and striving.
