(Enter it [the Fire]! So, endure patiently or do not endure patiently – it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed for what you used to do.)
Nothing is harsher for these people than such a calamity: to know that patience and impatience are the same, for the punishment is inevitable.
(So, endure patiently or do not endure patiently) – both are of no avail… utter despair!
It will be said to them on that Day: (So, endure patiently or do not endure patiently) – both are the same for you. Neither patience nor lamentation will benefit you.
So, neither patience will alleviate the burden of this torment from you, nor will lamentation soften the hearts of the guardians [of Hell].
(You are only being recompensed for what you used to do). A person is recompensed in the Hereafter according to what they did, rather, it is the very deeds they performed. So, they harvest what they sowed and gather what they planted.
(You are only being recompensed for what you used to do), meaning: Your Lord wrongs no one, but rather recompenses everyone according to their deeds.
