105- SURAH AL-FIL
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
In the story of the People of the Elephant, Allah sufficed with a general overview.
When no one stands against falsehood and tyranny, Allah demonstrates His power in destroying it as He wills.
The pursuit of ignorant Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) across the lands, and the establishment of guidance, truth, and goodness therein.
Allah, glorified be His majesty, uses weak, small birds to support the truth if you abandon it.
The power of Allah became manifest in protecting His House from aggressive tyrants.
The first House established for mankind is most deserving of protection.
This is the way of Allah with everyone who is arrogant regarding His command.
Allah destroyed an army that intended to harm the Kaaba.
Allah destroys either by wind, or by flood, or by drowning, or by subsidence (earth swallowing them), or by other means.
Allah showed His power to those who defied His way on His earth after His command to them.
(أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ) "Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the People of the Elephant?" (1)
Allah clarifies to Quraish: This is the sanctity of the Kaaba.
By the blessing of being neighbors to this House, Allah honored you! So, what if you were protectors of His religion?
What if your lives were attributed to Allah the Almighty (faith and righteous deeds)?
It is preserved among the narrators that the Seal of the Messengers was born in the Year of the Elephant; Allah protected Makkah by his blessing.
The blessings of the birth of the caller (to Islam): Allah's protection of the House.
The blessing came due to Allah's care for you, O Muhammad.
Quraish gained its status among the Arabs because they were neighbors of the House.
This invasion met a tragic end.
The elephant was mentioned in honor of it, because it carried out Allah's command.
Whoever seeks a good interpretation will find much of what people consider a direct address to the Prophet (peace be upon him) to be a general address.
