(وَلَلآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ الأُولَى) (4)
The methodology of prophethood and da'wah (invitation to Islam) lies in minimizing worldly adornments and the luxuries of the extravagant, and in emphasizing that the Hereafter is better than this world.
(وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ اَلْأُولَى) meaning: Wait, O Muhammad, for much good will soon come to you.
Matters are judged by their conclusions.
Allah will open up for your Ummah (nation) in the latter part of this world what will please you, O Muhammad.
Whoever burdens himself with hardship in this world will attain the stations of bliss and pleasure in the Hereafter.
The good prepared for him (peace and blessings be upon him) is absolutely better than what is prepared for anyone else.
Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shown what Allah would open up for his Ummah after him, and he was pleased by that. Then Jibreel (Gabriel) descended with His saying: (وَلَلْآخرة خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ) (وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ).
