التفسير التبليغي

(Wa idhā al-jannatu uzlifat) (13)

After mentioning the abode of the distant enemies as a warning, He followed it with the abode of the close, blissful ones as an encouragement.

*Izlāf* means to bring close that which you love, and from it comes *zulfa*, meaning closeness to what you love.

(Uzlifat) means it was brought near to the believers, and its dishes were adorned, and its gardens beautified with everything that beautifies.

(Wa idhā al-jannatu uzlifat) means: it was brought close to the righteous, like His saying, the Exalted: (Wa uzlifati al-jannatu lil-muttaqīna ghayra ba‘īd) [Qaf: 31].

Paradise is brought near and made manifest to its seekers who were promised it.

It is made near, brought close, and prepared.
