(And sons present) (13)
And I granted him sons present. It is mentioned that they were ten.
I granted him (And sons present), who do not absent themselves, but are present with him. They do not travel for trade; rather, their servants and hired workers undertake that for them, while they remain with their father, so he enjoys their company and delights in them.
(And sons) present with him in Makkah, never leaving him, because they were wealthy.
(And sons). Allah bestowed upon him the blessing of sons, (present), meaning they attend gatherings and assemblies with him, never leaving him. So he is comforted by them, and his mind is not preoccupied with their absence.
(And sons present), meaning they are provided for due to the abundance of their father's blessings and their self-sufficiency from earning a livelihood and seeking sustenance themselves. So he is comforted by them, and his heart is not preoccupied with their absence.
(And sons present). Al-Tha'labi said: Three of them embraced Islam: Khalid ibn al-Walid, Hisham, and 'Imarah.
It was said: Al-Walid ibn al-Walid, Khalid, and Hisham embraced Islam.
