**"And those that carry a heavy burden" (2)**
**"Those that carry"**: These are the winds that carry the clouds, or the clouds themselves carrying the rains that cause vegetation and trees to grow, benefiting grains and fruits.
**"A heavy burden"**: This refers to a heavy load, such as water in the clouds, or anything carried on the back. It was also said that *al-wiqr* is that which obstructs hearing from the ear due to its weight.
Regarding **(فَالْحَامِلاتِ وِقْراً)**: It has been said that what is meant are the ships that carry heavy loads of people and their belongings, as Allah – the Most High – says: **(وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَى بَلَدٍ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَالِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ الْأَنْفُسِ)** [An-Nahl: 7], meaning they carry your heavy belongings to a land you would not have reached except with great difficulty, to convey the religion to the east and west of the earth.
The clouds are likened to water-skins that Allah – Glory be to Him – drives upon the backs of the winds, as Allah – the Most High – says: **(وَيُنْشِئُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ)** [Ar-Ra'd: 12].
