(رُسُلًا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ); meaning: they give glad tidings of Paradise to those who obey, and warn of Hellfire for those who disobey.

Glad tidings are of Paradise, and warning is of Hellfire.

Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, creates what He wills and chooses. He selected from humankind messengers and prophets, taught them and nurtured them, and sent them to His servants with His religion. Their nurturing and call encompassed four matters:

- Attaining faith

- Preserving faith

- Benefiting from faith

- Spreading faith

These are the suns of Monotheism and faith, the stars of guidance, and the mountains of patience and certainty.

The messengers and the scriptures serve to awaken from heedlessness, to prompt reflection on rational proofs, and to elaborate on the general principles of religion.

The sending of messengers is to complete the establishment of proof, so that people may not say: "If only You had sent a messenger to us, he would have awakened us from the slumber of heedlessness and alerted us to what we ought to have been attentive to."

(لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ): so that no excuser may have an excuse left.

The guidance of clarification and indication is Allah Almighty's proof against His servants in this world and on the Day of Return, and it is "the utmost effort of religion."

Allah Almighty's messengers came to guide His servants to the path of truth.

The effort is for righteousness, success, and prosperity.

This effort is based on clear proofs and decisive evidences, so that people have no argument if they disobey, and no excuse to offer.

It is narrated in Sahih Imam Muslim from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, there was no prophet before me except that it was his duty to guide his nation to the best of what he knew for them, and to warn them against the worst of what he knew for them..." (the rest of the Hadith).
