(قَالُواْ سَنُرَاوِدُ عَنْهُ أَبَاهُ وَإِنَّا لَفَاعِلُونَ)

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him.") This indicates that Jacob, peace be upon him, was deeply attached to him and could not bear to be without him.

They showed that the matter was not easy, and that they would try to convince their father.

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him.") Meaning: We will request him from him, and ask him to send him with us.

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him.") Meaning: We will ask him for him, and 'murawadah' (endeavor to persuade) means striving hard in the request.

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him, and indeed, we will do it.") A promise that they would exert their utmost effort to bring their brother, and an indication of the difficulty of that.

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him.") Meaning: We will strive with all possible means to bring him with us and bring him to you.

(They said: "We will endeavor to persuade his father concerning him.") We will strive hard to request him from his father, (and indeed, we will do it) that, and we will not slacken in it.

(And indeed, we will do it.) Meaning: what you have commanded us to do.

In this, there is an indication that subtle stratagems are means to achieve what is desired.

(And indeed, we will be his guardians.) ... (And indeed, we will do it.) Their promises are always accompanied by affirmations!
