Verse 25

Surah 77 • Verse 25

Tafsir

"Did We not destroy...!" "Did We not create you...!" "Did We not make...!" Three addresses after three repetitions, all beginning with a declarative interrogative.

They were addressed with what they already knew.

In each of these addresses, there is an indication of the Resurrection in a specific way.

Al-Kifāt: meaning that the earth contains them, both alive and dead.

The third address indicates the similarity of the earth to wombs.

Allah Almighty made the grave for the dead like a house for the living, serving as a sanctuary.

He made the earth like a womb, which is a firm resting place for it.
