Meaning, the elders and leaders have, through their call, led many people astray.

Meaning, do not grant them success in guidance.

Meaning, abandonment and gradual enticement (towards ruin). He (Noah) supplicated with this due to his despair of their belief.

He supplicated against them with this after Allah Almighty informed him that they would not believe.

Misguidance, disappointment, and lack of guidance are the destiny of every wrongdoer.

﴿وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا﴾: Meaning, a sealing upon their minds and hearts, so that they become blind to the truth and to all their corrupt, misguided aims that are deeply rooted in error.
