(He) said, ("Did I not tell you that you would not be able to have patience with me?") (75)

Despite the fact that he (Moses) was asked for obedience and non-objection, he forgot and broke his promise and did not obey!

("Did I not tell you that you would not be able to have patience with me?") The temperament of the teacher is sometimes strict.

The righteous servant (Al-Khidr) gave Moses the principles of learning: patience - not asking questions - not rushing.

"In verse (72) (He) said, ("Did I not say that you...") and in verse (75) (He) said, ("Did I not tell **you** that you..."). So, in the second instance, the word (لَكَ - 'you') was added, and Al-Khidr's response had a deeper impact than the first. Perhaps this is because Moses' astonishment here weighed more heavily on his companion's heart than the first astonishment. The wisdom – and Allah knows best – lies in the fact that the second action was a definite killing, whereas the first was merely a damaging act that could potentially lead to drowning.
